My Spark Controller is dead
« on: October 07, 2011, 09:45:47 pm »
Hi,
my Spark Controller is not powering on anymore, when i switch it ON the display lights up for a second and after that nothing, totally dead.
- I tried launching the software (Standalone and other versions)
- I tried launching the Spark MIDI MAP Software
- I tried using an external power supply
- I tried using another USB port
- I restarted the computer

Nothing happens, there is a way to reset the controller?
Is this maybe a firmware problem?

Thanks for help.

EDIT: forgot to insert my machine, I have a 2010 MacBook Pro 13" Core2Duo 2.4ghz 4gb ram.

When I switch on my Spark, if I switch the switch all the way it won't power up, but when I rock the switch partly back from it's on position & then let it go back to on my Spark will then power up. I am not sure if this means the switch is faulty or not
        Good luck with yours,
                       regards,

Tried, not working, but thanks for helping me.

I think it's just a Firmware problem, maybe I need to reset the Spark Controller to its factory settings, but I don't know how to do that..
I hope the support will answer ASAP because I need to use it..

I really don't know how to solve this, I tried everything, I need to use the controller this week-end (that's almost over..).

No one can help me with this?
There is someone who knows a way to hard reset the firmware to factory settings?
Maybe there's a combination of buttons to press while I switch it ON, like other stuff.

Thanks.

Hi,
did you try to update the firmware and for a reason the process was stopped before the end?
Do you have a support ticket number?
If not, please login to your account page and go to "My Technical Support" section, then click on "New Technical Support request".
Please PM me your ticket number, we will try to solve this ASAP.

Best
Kevin
