Analog Player keyboard not recognized by software
« on: September 24, 2011, 03:35:59 pm »
I'm running the Arturia Player software on a MacBook Pro 10.6 and the software loaded fine. The Analog keyboard just doesn't make any sounds. When I open Garage Band the Analog Keyboard does work, so I know it's not the hardware. Anyone know what's wrong here?

Guys, the keyboard itself makes no sound at all. You have to load the Analog Experience standalone software app first or put the corresponding plugin on a track in your DAW.

Let us know how you have setup your system or what principles of a hybrid system you don't get along with.

I have been using the virtual keyboard up until today.  Today when I plugged it in and turned it on, the lights scrolled but there is apparently no communication between the software and the keyboard.  The lights are still responding (i.e. octave changing), but nothing is going to the computer (which has recognized and installed drivers for the keyboard).

What have I done wrong? ???

First, try to plug the keyboard in another Usb port of your computer
Second, please try to replace the Usb cable by another one.
Third, try to reset the Keyboard by pressing '+' and '-' and power up you keyboard.
Fourth, Check if the keyboard is well sending Midi Data:
PC:
Please download: http://www.midiox.com/
1/ Open Midi-OX
2/ Click on "Option/Midi Devices..."
3/ In Midi Input, Select your Keyboard Click 'OK'
4/ Open the 'Main outPut Monitor'
5/ Reproduce the problem.
6/ Make sure that a midi signal is well send from your keyboard to the "monitor - Output" window.
7/ forward us a screenshot
MAC:
Open the Midi Monitor Application.
==> http://www.snoize.com/MIDIMonitor/
1/ Reproduce the problem on the hardware
2/ go to : File/Save As...
3/ Send us the file

Thank you, David!

After three USB cables, I finally got one that actually works...problem solved.

Anybody wanna buy some USB cables...on the cheap? ;)
