They haven't given us any real information about when it's going to happen and what does it have? I'd really hope that they would at least update this "Milestones" document to give us some information.

We're still working on this update. It should be released as 2 successive releases. The first one related to new multi-mode features as it has been described in this forum a while ago. The second should provide new modules.

The 1st part should be released end of october 2011.

yes, even if we need to pay a for the Oberheim template (it was not promised to be fair) i'm still looking forward to the Vst plugin, and the Cs80 + Arp 2600 template.

having said this, I must say that the Origin really rocked my world of analog synth's, it's warm and fuzzy and aggressive, all at the same time.

Please hurry up with the update.

Just curious: is there some information about this new V-series synth? I tried to check all relevant places on their website but I found nothing. Is it still unofficial or perhaps just a rumour...?

Anyway, I'd also like too see this new update or any information about it: when and what is going happen? As said earlier, this Milestones webpage is so out-dated, I hope they will update at least this information...

... OK. Now they have this announcement about SEM on their main page.

Let's see what we'll have for Origin in next update. New modules and templates (like SEM!) would be great of course. Personally I have given high priority to software editor and perhaps to supersaw oscillator. (IMO Those attempts to make a decent supersaw have not been very convincing).

I would be more than happy if origin had oberheim ported, what a product! Arturia, this is what we want, more authentic analogue modules. This development path makes the origin increasingly desirable and potentially allows upgrades that users might even be prepared to contribute to?

I was excited to read about this myself.  After spending time with my Origin and relying on the Origin modules to make vague recreations of the Prophet and Oberheims, I'm hopeful that Arturia includes both the Prophet OSCs and filters in the upcoming update, and the SEM modules in the next one.

As far as templates go, even though Arturia promised the ARP 2600 first, I think they should produce the CS-80 first, simply because it's so easy to make a 2600 with modules.  I have a 2600 "template" in my patch list in the Download section with a few patches using it.  The CS-80 uses a bit too much of the CPU to get full 8 note polyphony out of it, if you recreate it as best you can using modules.  But it sure sounds authentic!

One more note on templates.  They should be as loud as an instrument made with modules.  The MiniMg template output is too low, and should be louder.  I'm also annoyed that the template includes hard sync, but the Mg modules don't.

They are selling the Origin with unkept promises and invalid milestones from the beginning. I really don't understand this information politic. It doesn't make me feel good, although the Origin is still an excellent piece of gear.
