Jupiter 8 and others make ProTools bug...
« on: April 27, 2011, 12:13:38 pm »
Hello everyone ;)

I have a strange issue here...

I have several Arturia plugs on a ProTools 8.0.4 LE system.

When I use the plugs in a new session, no problem.
Issue is: when I start an existing session containing Arturia Plugins, I hear a CRACK in the sound when Pro Tools loads the session, and then no more sound. I see VU moving normally, playback normally, but no sound coming out from the pro tools.

I then need to restart Pro Tools on a session not containing Arturia plugs to get my sound back.
As for the existing sessions, I need to disable or remove the Arturia plug and restart pro tools to have my session working...

Issue is the same with Jupiter, Prophet, Arp, all updates checked for compability...

Anyone can help me with that?

Thanks

I'm not sure, but if you open Jupiter 8 in Standalone App mode, and go to preferences and choose the proper Audio Output, then quit Jupiter 8 Standalone, and launch a ProTools session with the Jupiter 8 Plug-ins in it (but no other Arturia VI's for now...) does that cure the problem? Just a wild guess that it may have to do with how the Audio Output for the Jupiter 8 plug-in tracks in ProTools are assigned. Maybe try checking that theory other ways too...like after you hear the crack (if my first suggestion failed) and audio disappears, don't quit ProTools yet: first check out the Audio Output destination of the Jupiter 8 track, and change it. Then quit and relaunch ProTools. any better? If not, do the Audio Output reset again, just like (my) suggestion #2 here. Then shut down your computer and restart, see if THAT does any good. Try things one at a time ( I never do, but I should! ;) ) Good Luck!
