I'd be interested, too, though I already have the EMS Rehberg Synthi A software.

What really would be good would be a modified pair of EMS Synthis along the lines of the `Crystal Machine' played by Tim Blake. Technical details of that are available if Arturia would like to try it.

Cool! The uncon (in November) was the first time I saw him since he did the New Jerusalem set at Glastonbury about 30 years ago! (His "Magick" CD is sitting in front of as I type.)

Did you know about the download on Tim's website? The concert in Exeter with Jean-Philippe Rykiel is available. This is the same concert set I saw and I think it was also the one you'd have heard in Amsterdam.

It costs about £8, which I think is pretty good for almost two CDs worth. There are some glitches which I think Tim's intending to mix out, offering a new download to anyone who's already paid.

And to keep it on topic, there's EMS Synthi A on there - the one that used to belong to Christian Boule, recently refurbished by Robin Wood.

You can also buy Jean-Philippe Rykiel's Under the Tree CD (which isn't in the EM style, but does include some very interesting synth playing. It's his response to the African music he's been producing, and includes African musicians. It's actually the best African album I've heard.)

totally agree reagrds the Synthi aks or a softsyth.When i saw origin my first thought waas - JOYSTICK . . .. arturia need to do a synthi clone.BUT .. . .

and i think ems hold all patents or whatever on the name ans design , i know modular synth makers cant even copy the trapezoid envelope that gives this synth some of its character,

For the record i tried the synthi vsti above and its excellent , Really Really cool . . . i have a reaktor ens also of synth but its not as accesible.On the downside the rehnbrg vsti is Tint on screen and cant be zoomed i dont think . . way to small for my liking , you can hardly see the pin matrix labels properly .

Arturia PLEASE license this off ems and re-do in Origin . . . . ! Virtual / vsti / ems synthi hardware with a joystick . . . . thats an odvious winner  . . . .

One thing that might help - I've done this with some of the Arturia softsynths as well:

Do a screen capture and enlarge it, then print it and laminate it so it's rigid as well as hard-wearing. I sometimes put one of these next to me when I'm playing/programming. It makes it much easier to see exactly what you're doing.

I think the next generation of monitors will be massive flat screen ones, which will really help with using softsynths, but until then it's very handy to have an enlarged picture beside you.
