Analog Factory license on dongle for use on multiple computers?
« on: October 08, 2010, 10:07:02 pm »
I have bought the Analog Factory Experience, and the elicense is registered to my desktop at home. If I transfer the elicense to a dongle, will I be able to use the software on my laptop when not at home?

In short...two computers, one license on a dongle?

Thank you,
Tyler

Yes.

An SeL license can be stored either on a Soft-eLicenser (virtual dongle on the system drive of one computer) or on a USB-eLicenser dongle.

The transfers of SeL licenses between Soft-eLicenser and USB-eLicenser are free, but require an Internet connection.

All the computers used to run Arturia software should have the eLicenser Control Center installed (latest version available from www.elicenser.net).
Of course, if the license is stored on the USB-eLicenser, only the computer with the dongle connected to it can run the software.

Just need a bit more clarification if possible.  I have my new Analog Factory coming this week, but won't have my elicenser yet.  Can I load the the soft version on my laptop, then once my elicenser comes switch to it to the elicenser so I can use it on my iMac as well?  Or once you've loaded and applied the soft version, are you stuck?

Sorry if it's dumb question I'm new to this kind of protection!

Looking forward to checking AFE out!

Thanks!

Yes, you can download the license on the Soft-eLicenser virtual dongle, then later transfer it on the USB-eLicenser hardware dongle.
This process is described here: http://www.arturia.com/elicenser

i am having a similar problem. i got this late last year and authorized it to my macbook, but i want to run it on my pc where my flstudio lives.
i have tried a couple things to get it to work, but i cant get past the start
"Application 'Analog Factory 2.0' has caused the following error:

eLicenser(s) contain(s) no valid license for this application."
but its totally valid on my mac.
should i delete the key and license and start over?
i spoke to the tech support and they were less than helpful. idk if it was because their first language was german, but they made me feel dumb as shit.
any help would be fantastic.
