How close is the MiniMg V2 sound to Origin MiniMg in terms of sound quality?
Is the same engine?

Thanks!

You seem to worry a lot Jeruro!

As I said to you in one of your other posts: wait until your unit arrives, and do the listening with your own ears. There are really are no other alternatives.

So, when do you expect your Origin to arrive?

PS. I fully  understand your excitement! DS.

I did some extensive testing on the oscillator and filter response of the Origin MiniMg modules and the MiniMg V.

It's pretty much 100% spot on. Especially in the filter response and resonance.

the only thing that is different between the two is there is no saturation option on the Origin. The workaround for this is adding the distortion FX module to the chain and applying a small amount to get the extra "dirt". You also cannot use Osc3 as a modulation source in the mod matrix section. This is a limitation in the MiniMg template that comes with the Origin. If you build your own template using the same modules then you can do this.

what is cool is you can do the classic feedback loop trick by running the output back into the external input section to even more character and tonal variations just like on the real miniMg...

you'll love the unit. trust us...:)

No, the sound engine of Origin is different from the one in the software, and more adapted to the hardware. In terms of quality, both are a very accurate emulation... But maybe the Origin's MiniMg is even better!

Yeah, I would like to second that ... the MiniMg in the Origin sounds really good.
