Loud'ish pop on booting.
« on: June 16, 2010, 06:24:33 pm »
Is it normal that at the end of the boot sequence the Origin emits a quite loud POP from its outputs, both main and aux (not thinking about the slight pop when switching on)?

Same here.

Therefore I boot the Origin and then I switch amplification on.

Thanks guys!

I shall not worry about the health of my particular Origin then, and instead mute the channels for it on power up :P. I agree that's a good practice, but it out-pops all my other boxes by far (most are silent on power up) so I though it best to check with my fellow Originists.

With this last worry dealt with, I hereby declare my great liking for the Origin ;D
