using behringer bcr 2000 as controller
« on: April 21, 2010, 07:14:08 am »
I am looking at controllers controllers for the Mg modular. I dont need a keyboard as I already own a few high quality ones. Im wondering for tweaking is the behringer any good it does have quite a few rotary encoders.
I am a faculty head of performing and expresssive arts and my specialist area is music technology. Though I wished I owned a real moog these are definitely the next best thing. I have the Modular and Analog factory and they are up there with my Korg Radias  and Ms10 as ther sounds I  go to most.

I find the BCR very useful for the Mg Modular V. One can control it via the MIDI input using the learn function of MMV, or inside a DAW like Cubase using one or more Generic Remote Devices. At the moment I have a four page map using a total of 4x32 encoders. I prefer the latter method because of the parameter feedback.
