Origin Connection donīt find my Origin

Hello Arturia,
my Origin is connected via USB directly without any HUB to my MAC Pro (OS-X 10.6.2).
Midi works fine but the Origin Connection Software (actual version) can not make any connection to my Origin.
The window shows the message "No Origin found" in the lower left. After a few minutes the Software quits and shows a failure message.
Please help me.

For me it works if i close the DAW first. I'm also on MAC.

Hi Tommy,
If your firmware is v1.06, you will have to close any running program before launching the Origin Connection.
With v1.07 this "feature" has disappeared.

I have the same problem on my MacPro. (MacOSX 10.6.2)
It says "Connecting to Origin" but it says "No Origin Found" again and again and again...
I don't use USB hub for my Origin.
It works on Logic...and MIDI system setting knows Origin is connected...
What's the problem? I really want to use it to make and backup my sounds... :'(

Hi,

yesterday I installed the Firmware v1.07 but nothing had changed.
The Origin Connection doesnīt work.
Any other help against this problem?

Hi all,
I'm Kevin the guy in charge of Origin Connection.
It seems that there is some issue with Mac Pro on OSX 10.6.2.
If this is not the case, please first install the Origin Connection given with the 1.0.7 firmware.
Tommy when you say "I installed the Firmware v1.07", I understand that you already did it but I prefer to be sure that it is done.
If the installation of the latest version doesn't solve the problem. You can try to remove all the AUdio/MIDI device connected (via USB and/or Firewire) and close all the other Audio/MIDI software (Cubase, Logic, Pro Tool ...). Tell me if it solve the problem.
We have one Mac PRo with Snow Leopard installed here. I'll make a try with Origin Connection to see if I encounter the issue.

Hi Kevin,
I disconnected all my USB & Firewire equipment incl. Hubs.
My Origin was connected via the 24" Apple Display to the Mac Pro.
In the manual I found no advice to connect the Origin directly whithout any Hub to the computer. To eliminate any issues I changed the connection direct to the Mac Pro.
After this I started the Origin connection program and my Origin was found.
The update procedure 1.0.7 works fine. After updating I started my Mac with the previously USB & Firewire set up. The Origin via Apple Display Hub to the Mac.
I started the Connection program and the Origin was again not found.
My resume is Origin need an USB connection direct to the computer. The problem is I have no free USB port at my Mac.

Hi Tommy,
Nice to ear that you finally acheive to make Origin Connection working.
Although it is not mentionned in our manual, it is better to connect Origin to a USB port of your computer, this is the only solution, at least until we find a way to make Origin Connection working with USB hub.

My origin is connected to my imac via a powered usb hub. i'm running snow leopard. i have no problem, origin is always found. the only thing i remembered a year ago is that i had to close Logic 8 before starting origin connection, but since a year not even such problem.

Hi all,
Although I disconnected every USB & Firewire cable of my MacPro(except my beautiful Origin :D), it didn't work at all. I didn't use USB HUB for my Origin. I think something is wrong in my case... :'(

no, i mean the last origin connection version, not the origin itself. when you download the origin 1.07 update you have in the .dmg a new version of the origin connection software, you have to install this one too on your computer.
