wavelab 4 crashes
« on: January 19, 2009, 11:57:02 pm »
Hi. Just put a light version of Analogue Factory on my XP computer, and the individual instrument dll's (eg arp.dll or miniMgv.dll rather than the AnalogueFactory.dll), crash my old version 4 of Wavelab on startup - when it runs through new pluggins on the splash screen. Any bright ideas? I like the instrument, but it will have to go if they are incompatible. Any help would be greatly appreciated

How can you expect a software to run nicely if you amputate it ?
Softwares are not like the lizzard's tail; when you cut it, it does not self-regenerate!
I won't enter in further technical details (how it has been coded, which parts interfere with others): simply use the Analog Factory as it installs, no more, no less.

I didn't dissect it at all!?? I just deleted my new pluggins consecutively, and then restored them from the trash bin, untill I discovered which pluggins crashed wavelab. If any of the aforementioned pluggins were in my pluggin folder Wavelab crashed.

not sure that 'direct assault' was needed. I have Wavelab 6 and it gives you the option to ignore speciafic plugins- not sure if wavelab 4 has that
