Help on midi input to miniMg V
« on: February 25, 2008, 04:14:25 am »
I want to patch in a midi input to the Mg synth software using software only - not a keyboard.  How can I do this?

I have tried to find a midi sequencer with midi out and link this to the midi in of the Mg but this hasnt worked yet.  Any software out there that does this?

Or I want to use a second computer to trigger the midi input.

Are any of these possible?

My goal would be to write the instrument voices on multiple channels then run them through the Mg sim to get the sounds. I cant seem to be able to figure it out...

http://www.hurchalla.com/MapleVMCv356.zip
http://midipiano.googlepages.com/MidiPiano_v185.zip

1. Install Maple Virtual Midi Cable.

2. Install (extract to a folder actually) MidiPiano.

3. Launch MiniMg V.

4. Launch MidiPiano.

5. Click on "Configuration" and make sure every device listed in there is unchecked except for the first "Mapple Midi Out". You don't need more.

6. Click on the yellow folder icon to open your midi file.

7. Click on the green button to play the midi and the black one to make it stop.

Enjoy 8)
