Multi-timbral as DXi/VST?

This is related to my earlier question:

* the 'regular' has 32 voices of polyphony, shared between the 4 programs.
* the '10 voices version' has 10 voices of polyphony per program


This sounds like the CS-80V DXi/VST is multi-timbral. How do you set this up in a host sequencer?

UPDATE:
Ok, I see something of an answer on this thread here. I'm interested in any additional thoughts anyone might have on this topic though.
