Importin/Exporting presets
« on: June 14, 2007, 11:21:08 am »
I run two separate copies of MiniMg on two separate Macs.
If I have worked on a project on one of the macs and then
move it over to the the other mac and open it up there
the MiniMg on the new computer can't find the sound even if it has it
as a preset.
Therefore I have to export the preset from the first computer
and then import it to the second computer. But then I need to insert
the cd for the MiniMg.
No easier way?
I also run two copies of Arps.
Don't have time for all this cdstuff.
Must be a user friendlier way?

I think the CD thing is to protect Arturia from unauthorised copying. There's no way the software can tell both computers are yours.

I wonder, maybe you could get over the problem by sharing a hard drive between the two computers. I don't know if that'd work, but if both computers recognised the same external hard drive as theirs, maybe it would.
