CS-80V sounds awesome
« on: October 31, 2003, 01:20:14 am »
The sound is incredibly lifelike and certain demo patches remind me of sounds from old Vangelis and Jarre tunes... Great work!

I really, really hope that you will seriously look into creating a virtual version of the one-and-only ELKA Synthex. This very rare instrument can create some of the most fattest and beautiful analog sounds out there (Jarre 'Rendez-Vouz' for example, laser harp, etc.), and, like CS80, is pretty much unmatched by anything else.

If there is one engine that can fully emulate it, it would be your TAE engine.

Thank you

I friend demostrated me the CS-80V running 4 times on Cubase with 4 big reverbs, and using 4 diffrent patches. The sound was the biggest pure testosterone sound I have ever herd. Ironically, it was triggered by a soft Bach midi file.

asheraa,

What kind of hardware was being used to have 4 CS-80V's running at once with Cubase? Pentium or Mac? GHz? RAM? etc.

Also, you have asked about getting more than 8 voices and you mentioned your CPU did not go over 15%. Once again, what kind of hardware were you using? Pentium or Mac? GHz? RAM? etc.

Thanks.
