Analog Experience 49
USING: Reason 7.0.1
OS: recent Mac OS 10.8.4
When using arturia's codec for Reason (the AE49 - Arturia Analog Experience 49) the Sustain Pedal doesn't work ... nor will the 4 pads.
The sustain pedal and pads WILL work if i select the codec for generic MIDI KeyBoard ---but then all the knobs and DAW features are all screwed up.
This is not a polarity issue - at least not yet ... the sustain shows working properly on the keyboard display but is not mapped properly.
I can live without the pads, but a sustain pedal ??
I've seen posts regarding this about manually updating the codec, but that appears to be for windows ... any ideas for me?
I really want this Arturia to work for me ... instead of going the m-audio route.
thanks!
------------
fixed myself with help from an old post on here:
Fixed
With Reason Closed
Library\Propellerhead Software\Remote\Codecs\Lua Codecs\Arturia
Edit AE49.LUA
Replace
{name="suspedal", input="button"},
With
{name="suspedal", input="value", min=0, max=127},
And
Replace
{pattern="b0 40 xx", name="suspedal", value="1"},
With
{pattern="b0 40 xx", name="suspedal", value="x"},
In Reason Delete the AE49 Keyboard and Add it Again.
Under Option Menu->Addition Remote Overrides...
Select "Damper Pedal"
Hit Edit...
Step on Pedal a couple times (it should fill in all the fields)
This last step needs to be done per project file. I don't know how to set it for all projects.
By the way I ALSO got ZERO response filing a Ticket with Arturia.
And the Reason responded blaming Arturia for broken Codec... which is understandable.
I'm not sure who is responsible for the LUA Codec files for Arturia Keyboards.
NOW ANYONE KNOW HOW TO GET THE PADS WORKING (added to the codec?)
