Transport Control Functions
« on: July 22, 2013, 05:56:41 pm »
Ok, ... this might be strange. I am mapping my Transport controls to logic. Everything works like it should, but here is what I would like to happen, ........ When you press the Play, or Record buttons, ... I would like the light to stay lit and stay in play or record mode until you either press the button again, or press stop. When you set these to control toggle, ... they stay lit, but they stay that way even if you press stop. I want stop to stop the control and to shut off the lights. I am assuming the play and record buttons should be set to "duration control", ... but that option is not available for those buttons. Is this a firmware issue, a software issue, or can it not be done with this controller. I know that this is a minor detail, ... but any other controller I have had was easily set up this way. Perhaps I am over looking something. All help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi

For your information
We confirmed the bug that the controller does not send the right MMCMessages
As it is stated in the manual.

However, this is because this does not work on Live easily.
And therefore a MIDI learn of the CC sent by the controller seems a more portable solution.

We will also make the MMC command editable from the keyboard directly for people who would like to use MMC.

We will fix it in the upcoming update.

Until then, in hosts like presonus you can use them in Control mode, using the MIDI learn function.

Best
