MiniBrute Audio In with a Mic - No Sound

I'm having trouble getting sound from my mic when I plug it into the MiniBrute's Audio In.

Anyone have any ideas as to how to do this? What I might be doing wrong?

You need some sort of a preamp to get the mic level loud enough for the minibrute audio input. A small mixer such as a behringer would do the trick.
