auvaltool vs Oberheim SEM

I installed the demo on my OSX 10.8.4 machine, the standalone works nicely, and i'm totally blown away by it, i really want to buy it, but I can't seem to get the AU working in Logic. When trying to validate the demo Auvaltool crashes, and i get an error with this as a reference:

Before I go and purchase I'd really want to make sure i'm gonna be able to get it to work in Logic first. Any thoughts?

Yeah, I wouldn't use the SEM with Logic simply because it crashes every single time I try to use it.  I filed a support ticket weeks ago and still no help.  Only one reply that they were sending up a level or something.
