modular with the minibrute
« on: May 09, 2013, 07:34:56 am »
I'm going to be biting the bullet and getting some modular gear in the future.  I was wondering how the minibrute could be used with this?

With the CV inputs and outputs, I could either control the modular or have the modular use the minibrute as a filter/adsr before i run it back into the modular vca?

What's cool about the 'Brute is that it has both CV ins AND outs. The outs are GATE and PITCH meaning that you can trigger anything on your modular with the GATE and PITCH will send notes to it.  You could use the Minibrute's arpeggiator to control the notes on your modular for instance.

So the answer is 'yes' you can do both, even at the same time :)

But wait!  There's more!

Because the Minibrute has CV in you can control filter freq, pitch, amplitude and gate from your modular.  And yes, at the same time as all the stuff above.  This could get pretty wacky.

Think of the Minibrute as a sophisticated module in your modular setup, as well as a controller with both keyboard and arpeggiator.
