I have made a similar sheet, but not meant as an overlay, but to 'draw' your patch on the sheet.

thanks for the replies and Presets templates I ended up printing out the template provided by Tom_1970 and then going to a Printer Kiosk(I haven got a printer so my Bro printed out one for me). I bought a binder with the 3 hole rings and also the adhesive ring holes and now have a tidy Folder with many blank templaes
thanks again all.

I would recommend people to get some coloured marker pens, that way you can colour-code your presets, thus opening the option for multiple preset on a single sheet.

I use Tom's version all the time.

I've got a set of like 10 colored rollerball pens, which are super useful, since I can put like 6 different patches on one sheet (not even gonna pretend that putting 10 is something I'd possibly do.  that would be a mess).
Great to keep stuff organized, I can keep a record of various "versions" of a patch that I tweak while making a song, or multiple patches that go together in one part of a track.

I also made one of these sorts of things for my mixer, to keep track of how everything's set up.  (mackie 1202vlz3 if anyone's interested)
