Sending basic program change from Laboratory 49 controller
« on: February 24, 2013, 01:20:09 am »
Hello - I'm trying to configure the Preset knob on the Laboratory 49 controller in order to send program change commands and be able to scroll through programs on an external synthesizer via Logic 9. This should be a simple process, many less expensive controllers have simple +- keys or knobs that allow the user to scroll through patches. I have used several of them successfully with my setup and almost all are plug-and-play. I have noticed in the drop-down menu for the Preset Select in the MIDI Control Center software application, that the Patch Change option is greyed-out. Does this mean that the Preset knob can not be used to change Presets via MIDI? Can someone please clarify, or offer a simple solution or workaround? Thanks very much!
