How to start internal sequencer from the host's sequencer ?
« on: November 11, 2005, 05:19:36 pm »
Hi !

Do you know how to synchronize MMV internal sequencer to the vst host's sequencer? I want to have all my sequencers started when I hit "play" button in cubase.

Hi, I think you just record a midi event in the host, then set the sequencer start to keyboard trigger..I think

In the oscillator section of the Mg Modular sequencer, under the 'ON' button there's a connector.  If you click on that connector you'll get a menu (obviously you know this since you've got the sequencer working.)

Follow that pull-down menu to "External Sequencer Start"

It works great.  Just flip the Midi sync switch, choose your tempo-divider and play a note.  It syncs perfectly.  If you are off a bit with your chops, just quantize the note ons.
