Allow Option to change "Hold" Midi CC behavior
« on: February 07, 2023, 04:05:11 pm »
Feature:
It would be nice to have the ability to, at least, toggle whether Hold should send Midi sustain, similar to how we can toggle whether Knobs send Midi CC.
Even more desirable would be the ability to choose between no sustain cc ever, sustain cc only sent when arp/seq are turned off, and as it seems right now, always sending the midi message.

Use Case:
This might perhaps only be useful for FL Studio (as it handles midi sustain differently) since I don't have any other daw or an extensive hardware setup. Regardless, it's a popular daw.
Under FL Studios default Midi Sustain handling, the Arpeggiator and Sequencer become nearly useless when using Sustain (all notes are infinitely sustained). There doesn't seem to be any workaround to have full intended capability for Minifreak as Midi Keyboard or used with Minifreak V, by which I mean expected Arp/Seq behavior as well as being able to sustain notes when those are turned off.
So: Given that Arp/Seq Mode makes the Minifreak handle the Hold seemingly more internally, the CC message might be unneeded or in some cases cause direct conflicts Whereas when Arp/Seq being is off there is no such handling, which would make a CC message sent in that instance useful again.

As stated, I don't know if this applies to other settings beyond FL, for which perhaps I am missing a crucial workaround.
