Recent sound banks won't load in Analog Lab V
« on: November 02, 2022, 02:22:01 pm »
Hi: Recently purchased hall of monarchs and stardust sound banks. Downloaded and installed as usual. They show up in the library for my store, but when I select them they are empty. And when I go to my sound banks they are not listed. Previous banks I've purchased have installed without any issues. would greatly appreciate some advice. I submitted a claim with tech support 72 hours ago (I don't know what the typical response time is), but have yet to receive a reply, so I thought I'd sign up and try the forum. Thank you, Gordo

Hello,

First you can just try to open ASC. Sometimes just that make a difference.

If that does'nt help, then you can check, if the preset are located in your main preset folder located at the resource path set in ASC.

If the presets are present, then you probably have a corrupt database file. Then you can try to delete the db.db3 file in your main preset folder. Then open Analog Lab and let the database rebuild. It can take a little time.

If the presets against exspectation are'nt present, then you can try to uninstall and reinstall the soundbanks.

Thank you for your response. Opening ASC did not resolve the issue. This is all quite confusing. Program data/arturia/presets contains folders for Analog lab V and all the other instruments followed by numerous json files for all the additional sound banks purchased  (Floyd tribute, etc along with the two I’m having trouble with – Stardust and Hall of Monarchs.). When I select Analog Lab V/Factory I found 2 folders – factory and stardust (with 28 of the 35 sound files). When I select Pigments/factory I found 2 folders, also – factory and Hall of Monarchs (with 64 of 64 sound files) I’m not sure why these are in separate places. I’ve read your reply, but I’m really not sure how to proceed. I’m not sure how to “delete the db files in the main preset folder and rebuild.” Thank you. Gordon

Your welcome,

The db.db3 file is among the Json files you mention. Just remove it like you would with any other folder or file.
