Hydrasynth and NRPN MIDI Learn
« on: May 23, 2022, 03:36:18 pm »
I have a Hydrasynth Deluxe on the way. This will make an ideal controller for the CS-80 V, since it has polyphonic aftertouch and a ribbon.

However, the ribbon only transmits NRPN due to the need for higher resolution. Does anyone know if this will work out of the box with MIDI learn on CS-80 V4?

So, looking at this closer: The CS-80 V ribbon is hard-mapped to pitch bend. So nevermind.

Pitch bend on my fantom is hi-res.  the ribbon controller I made sends hi-res.  I had to use an external 16bit ADC as many micros only have 10 or at most 12 bit ADCs.  I was hoping to assign my ribbon to other controls on the CS80V but it doesn't look possible.
