Audible aliasing (SOLVED)
« on: May 20, 2022, 02:15:08 pm »
I noticed aliasing using the B3-V2

For example, using the "Jazz Organ" patch, aliasing is noticeable, especially between E6 and B6, on both manuals

tested on versions 2.5.1.1843 and 2.6.0.2545

tested with various audio settings and sample rates, Windows 10

Hi,

I have no idea what you are hearing.
If you turn down the PREAMP DRIVE next to the Master Volume on the GUI and turn down the Tone Wheel Leakage in the MOD section for the Jazz Organ preset, then do you still hear what you talk about?

Thanks for the reply.

Turns out that the unpleasant sound was the "tonewheel leakage", and turning that down solved the problem.

It did sound like aliasing, and is most definitely non-musical :-)

Thanks again!
