I have a lot of very old midi files, most of which are designed around the Roland MT32 (which I don't have) so I was trying to convert them to use Arturia V Collection 7 (which I do have)
I'm using Reaper as my DAW.
When I import them into Reaper and look at the event list, I can see PC events (which I assume are program change events) but nothing seems to happen to the software instrument I have put on the track.
I was wondering, therefore, is it possible to change the preset of a software instrument via a midi program change event from within the midi file? Does that make sense?
