L/R polarity inverted (Output jack only, not headphones)
« on: March 06, 2022, 07:00:38 pm »
Hi

just received my Microfreak
If I listen to the headphone output everything is OK, but if I plug my headphone to the main output L and R have inverted phases. (same headphone used, using the small-> big jack adapter that comes with the headphones, so i'm 100% sure it comes from the Microfreak)

do i have to send it back ? or is there a way to set it in the options ?

Hi,
it is not a stereo out but a balanced mono output, so it is as it should be. You can use TRS to connect to something that has balanced inputs or use TS for unbalanced connections.

ok thanks.
First time I'm confronted to a balanced mono signal (not used to hardware synths)

Yeah, it is not very common, especially on cheaper synths, mostly and even then not always on expensive workstations.
