Another sustain issue
« on: January 23, 2022, 07:32:34 pm »
There are a few topics about sustain in the forum... I'm having a somewhat different issue and I wonder if anyone has advice... I'm running 2.9.1.1843 on MacOS 10.15.7. This behavior seems to manifest in both the stand-alone application and the plugin, and regardless of whether I use my hardware keyboard+pedal or the virtual keyboard/pedal inside Piano V2. The sustain engages, but it feels like there's an "envelope" on the volume; it quickly drops to something like 80% of the "attack" volume. When I physically keep the keys held down, the sound sustains as it should, but the sustain pedal gives a very different feel, almost like I'm playing a staccato and then sustaining the 'tail'.

This is new behavior for me; I don't think it's related to a Piano V2 update, but I do notice similar behavior with some other Arturia software instruments (e.g. Wurli).

Has anyone found their way out of a similar experience?
Thanks.

Hi,

It would help, if you post a name for a factory preset where you have the issue, to narrow down the possibilities.
It can be a technical issue, but perhaps also something else.

After a couple system restarts, this problem appears to have gone away for now... I will take note of this advice to id a specific factory preset where the problem appears. Thank you!

Your welcome.

Strange things can happen. And there actually can be issues.

But glad if it work now.
