I'm helping a friend debug some issues with running a script I wrote and noticed some discrepancies in Essential 61's implementation of the keypads.
All of this is with the keyboard set to DAW mode.
1. The keypads send status code of 0x90 - 0x9F depending on what the keyboard's midi channel is. The pads send the same exact midi message as some of the keys on the keyboard. (For reference, the MK2 keyboards' pads send status code of 0x99)
2. The manual says the keypads are on channel 10 (status code 0x99) and can only be changed when in user mode via MCC. But it looks like changing the midi keyboard's channel also changes the keypad channels. Keypads are expected to be on channel 10, but they switch to 1 when user switches to channel 1, and so forth.
Is it possible to get this fixed? The channel of the keypads get changed when the channel of the keyboard change in DAW mode, which isn't right. It messes up any percussions already assigned to it.
