Hey there,

today I bought the Arturia AudioFuse Studio, specifically because it was advertised as "class compliant". So I was super happy to finally have a high-end audio interface for Linux, replacing my Native Instrument Komplete Audio 6.

Then when plugging it I was shocked: My Ubuntu only plays some distorted sound. Next I tried my Android device. The same.

Now I'm really frustrated and wondering if there is possibly any solution? Should I return the AudioFuse Studio to my dealer?  :'(

Any help is greatly appreciated,
David

Hi d4vid, what kind of audio setup do you have on your OS? Using PulseAudio or Jack? Or just ALSA?

Hi Martibs, thanks for your reply.

I'm using the default PulseAudio Setup. I also tried it on my second Linux Machine (PopOS). Same issue there.
All my other audio devices, even the cheapest ones, are working "plug & play" on my two Linux machines.

If the Arturia AudioFuse Studio is class compliant, why doesn't it work on my Android 10 device either?

Here are some more details what I've tried:

Quote
Mac OSX ... Everything seems to be working fine  (tried 44,1kHZ, 48kHz, 96kHz)
Windows 10 ... Working (tried 44,1kHz, 48kHZ - ASIO disabled)
Linux (Ubuntu) ... Only distorted sound  (tried 44,1kHZ, 48kHz, 96kHz)
Linux (PopOS) ... Only distorted sound  (tried 44,1kHZ, 48kHz)
Android 10 ...  Only distorted sound  (tried 44,1kHZ, 48kHz, 96kHz)

btw. I'm not using anything fancy, no DAW so far. Simple YouTube playback, that's all.

I also emailed the Arturia support, but still waiting for their answer.

The Arturia Support suggested I should check the Sampling Rate of PulseAudio. Which I actually did before when trying different sampling rates without success. I'm posting some more details here in the hope someone could pinpoint any issue.

Currently the AudioFuse Studio is running with 44100 Hz configurated via the AudioFuse Control Center on Windows. So I set Sample Format and Sample Rate in the PulseAudio config:

Code: [Select]
#/etc/pulse/daemon.conf

default-sample-format = s32le
default-sample-rate = 44100

Additionaly I've set the Sampling Rate in ALSA Config:

Code: [Select]
/proc/asound/Studio/pcm0p/sub0$ cat hw_params

access: MMAP_INTERLEAVED
format: S32_LE
subformat: STD
channels: 10
rate: 44100 (44100/1)
period_size: 13107
buffer_size: 26214

Of course I restarted ALSA and PulseAudio after any config changes. Same sound problems so far.

Is anyone actually getting some normal audio output in LInux?
