Just bought the new Arturia KeyLab 88 Mk II, it comes with both Analogue Lab IV and V. Why is thiis? Surely IV is encompassed by V? Can I delete IV?
Thank you

Hello. ALV is newer but is not as well integrated with your controller MKII as AL4 is. All the sliders, knobs and instruments buttons on your keyboard do not 100% match the software. With ALV you cannot set-up the ADSR enveloppe for all the sounds as another example . There are a few discussions about this. I would not uninstalled AL4 yet. Actually this is the reason both are still ''living'' . Eventually the AL4 mapping will be available in ALV per some Arturia folks.

So the same core sounds in both?

There are differences, some new, improved ones in ALV, but by activating both ALV and AL4 you get them all in ALV.

No not quite. AL5 has a selection from a wider pallet of instruments, but compared to AL4, it is not as tightly integrated with the physical controls on the KeyLab controllers. Currently I view AL5 as a bit of a W-I-P (my personal opinion, not in any shape or form is that the official stance). I think in time they'll iron-out the integration discrepancies, and at some point AL4 will be officially retired.
