Using the Mg Modular software for live performance...
« on: August 18, 2005, 05:05:47 pm »
Hola:

I've been using the Mg Modular for a couple of weeks and it's by far the best sounding synth I've owned.

My question is: if the copy protection scheme is that the app will randomly prompt the user for the original disc, what if the prompt comes during a gig?  I don't want to have to keep the disc in the computer, besides, it keeps the drive spinning all the time.

What do you guys do about this?

thanks!
Max

As far as i know the random promts came only before the 2.0 update
of the Mg Modular V.
Since Version 2.0 the software promts only for the original disc when you import new banks.

So, prepare your MMV before Your gig with all the needed banks / sounds,
then all should be fine, no need for the disk.
