I come to the conclusion that i love the idea of the product, but i hate the execution of it. I come so far with this product but this problem got me now: Now i want to record a simple bassline, everytime i record it records on 16 instead of 1. So i am always before??!?! I also can't rely on 1 bar ahead record buffer or i play 64 steps and wait to play on 1 which also placed my note on 16. I am not a good piano player but i come from the old mpc 2000 days and i know how to play on point for record and it is off.

This is a unusable piece of s**t. I can't rely on it. Hey Arturia i hope reading this, i really do.

To explain how i feel: So imagine i bought a guitar and want to play it. So the creator of this guitar says to me sorry the fingerboard metal strips are missing you can 't play notes for now, we will deliver this later in an update. So in this case i can not use my guitar but the creator got all the money for his promise that it can. Arturia what is this? I come to the conclusion that i pay upfront for a piece of "It could" that will be fixed "sometime". Please explain this. I can sell you cars without engine?

My Problems so far:

- The metronome sucks and isn't in sync what you recorded in my case every time 1 step behind, it will be recorded on 16
- Midi Channel changing is a disaster and unusable for live purpose, why so complicated? Really WHY? (You guys did it well on BSP, do you guys talk with each other in dev phase?)
- Since a firmware update the ksp won't start, need several attempts
- Shutdown / Comeback doesn't work always need to select the project and tracks again
- Note On/Off Reverse not fixed
- No Global Transposition like promised in commercials
- No Saving of ARPs not even in the first update
- Crashes sometimes
- Check the forum is full of bugs
- And last of All, NOT BEING TRANSPARENT AT ALL

The last point bugs me the most, the totally intransparency in your development process? Really? Sometimes some dudes come here writes something in terms of: "Will be fixed" and then it is not. We hear nothing, i know why, you already got your money. You don't care thats why.

+1000
I'm totaly disapointed !
I just bought the KSP 2 days ago... and I hate him so much...
I'll wait for the new firmware next days but if i can't record Arp I'll sell this piece of deception asap !

Hello.
Global transpose is part of the next update.
The next update will be released mid/late April.

I am not affiliated with, nor do I speak for Arturia, but in a livestream KSP demo last night, Ian Martinez, "Marketing and Communications Specialist at Arturia," said he'd gotten an email that morning that it was still being worked on with no specific delivery date offered.  I asked in the Q&A at the end. So, as these things go, that 'April" timeline was optimistic. It'll get here eventually.

If Arturia made cars:

Arturia : "Here is your car... we'll deliver the engine next year, stay optimistic and fair please !"

I bought a sequencer which sequences nothing... It does what it wants, it sends the notes which it decides to send, it is unable to send a program change, The Drum part is pitiful. .. in short, it's just a bad midi keyboard at 400 euros! Thank you Arturia. Thank you so much.

Perhaps “April” was right, just the year was optimistic.
Always thank you Arturia, if and when you’ll drop something to make this ...thing worth the PRO label.

Link?

Of course, sorry, I meant to include in the original, but think I was dashing off to lunch or something and forgot. It’s mentioned towards the end: https://www.facebook.com/groups/arturiausergroupchicago/permalink/4109875515738654/

Program change messages do work.

Midi out 2 can be changed to a thru port, in MCC/Utility menu and in doing this, program change messages do get sent out to your external kit.

How to create a program change message with KSP ? The support team confirmed to me that it is impossible...

Ah, yes.  The KSP cannot generate program change messages, it can now pass them through the unit, onto another device, from another device that generates program change messages, such as a DAW.

This still makes it 100% useless to me, as I dont use a DAW.

So i have finaly given up to thinking about sending pgmchange msgs over my ksp and now try to achieve it differently. So i tried to get it to somehow to work to send programm changes additionally triggered by my DAW. but i think in my case the new midi thru option is not a added value or iam missing something?

I mean, my setup/midirouting is somthing like this: DAW > Keystep Pro > Midithrubox > Synths/Drummachine.

So when i want to sequence my gear with ksp and want to send pgmchanges from my daw to the gear it seems to be that i have to buy a merger anyway. Because it dont work well when i try to send midi from my daw to the ksp and use the out2 midithru option and bundle both outcoming signals to the midithrubox that goes to my gear.

This causes errors in the midi transmission, and i see no option to somehow merge a incoming signal with the general midisignal from the ksp and send it over to the gear expect with a additional mergerbox and in this case there will be no difference if i send the signal from my daw over the ksp miditrhu out to my merger or if i send it directly from the daw to the merger.

Two 2.0 NEW bugs :

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1BD9Ysz6l0Zlg6n69HkU-E3xMhuYwwpWf/view?usp=drivesdk

https://drive.google.com/file/d/11lxwLlHRYySd0_o7hWRWiJnR0oyDrWtz/view?usp=drivesdk

- Arp beginning with a bucket of gates (it occurs if another voice is in arp mode, muted, etc... i don't remember exactly, i'm not paid for alpha testing what i buy.)
- Exclu/+1octave Arp first note fucked.
- There's another bug with Hold + Arp mode. Don't ask precision, i'm a software developper and have no time nor taste for debugging others programming shit. The KSP just burns in Hell.

************* CUSTOMERS ARE NOT ALPHA TESTERS ****************

I won't even try more complex features, i can't stand that so basic ones still suck.

PS: will Behringer release a 200 bucks SWING PRO ? (Same bugs, half price.)
