I have been using a korg padkontrol to tap out drum patterns through the keystep pro's midi in. I've set up 48ppq sync on the KSP and I've tried a mixture of velocity parameters from the korg padkontrol. However, I find that I cant get faster then ~1/16th notes to pass through the KSP to my drum machine. This isn't trying to record faster than that - just playing appears to have a resolution maximum that is pretty slow. When I plug the padkontrol direcly into the drum machine I can tap out as fast as my fingers can roll.
