BeatStep Pro & Logic Pro X 10.5 - garbled Midi messages/clock
« on: September 20, 2020, 12:03:09 am »
Hi,

Is anyone here successfully using their BeatStep Pro via USB with the latest version of Logic Pro X?

I followed the setup guide for Logic X, but the main issues I'm getting is that under project settings and midi sync preferences, whenever "Listen to Midi Machine Control (MMC) is selected (as noted) I get garbled and stuttering clock plus triggers from whatever is connected to BSP.

Any fix for this?

Thanks!

OK, turns out this is all caused by having transport settings in midi control center set to 'both'. When i switch to MIDI, everything is fine.

Not sure if this is an issue over USB, or something else? The annoying thing is that I can't use my BSP to start/stop in logic; only logic transport controls work now. Very annoying.

Anybody using their BSP with logic flawlessly?

I'm having this exact same issue. There must be a way to use the transport controls on BSP to control Logic while still syncing clocks to flawlessly record sequences into Logic from BSP without leaving it to go use your mouse to use transport keys! Any ideas? Moving Transports to MIDI doesn't help in my case.

I have the same problem. If BSP is set to USB and logic "Listen to Midi Machine Control (MMC)" is selected it glitches playing the first note.

If I change the Destination to BeatstepproInEditor it seems to work but the patterns stop working on BSP.

Where's the arturia support?  ???

I have the same problem.

From what I can see there have always been problems with BSP syncing with Logic X.

Hello ARTURIA, do something about it, finally!

Lots of people have a problem with that.
You are losing customers through this error.

This fucked up.

I would like to create sequences on BSP and record them on Logic X.

Was it possible for anyone to do this?
