Terrible Crunching Noise
« on: July 30, 2020, 02:20:47 pm »
My Minilab MK2 was working perfectly until recently it started making a horrible crunching noise whenever I hit a key. This happens with all instruments in Analog Lab 4. It sounds a bit like the volume is too high making  the sounds distort.
Can anyone help please?

Thank you.

Hi and welcome to Arturia forums.

If the noise is in the audio, then i doubt it's a controller issue.

It's strange if it's a new thing. Is it on the same sounds you have a difference from before?

Can you get the noise away, if you turn down the master volume?
If not, then have you checked, if you have a single core on your CPU, that's being overloaded?

Thanks for your reply. It seems to be intermittent as it's working fine at the moment, but it has happened three times over the last couple of weeks.

I had a look at the performance under Task Manager and the CPU usage went up to around 40-50%, but the memory usage went up to 99% when using the Minilab! As it happens, I just received a new memory stick today, so hopefully things will improve.

However, if more memory doesn't fix the problem, I'll come back to you.

Thanks again,
Steven.
