"auto-start song" always activated?

I can't disable "auto-start song". I can uncheck the box in the preferences, but it hasn't the expected effect.

When I want to use Spark for playing the notes from the MIDI-region in Ableton Live only, I always have to click on Ableton live's play-button, then I have to go into Spark in click on its stop-button. This is horrible!!

Am I doing something wrong? I'm a new Spark user.

There should be a "host" button on the top of the Spark interface. You need to uncheck this, so that the Spark sequencer won't run when the Ableton sequencer starts.
