Split Drum Track for Midi Channels
« on: May 05, 2020, 09:42:43 am »
I got old 80s Drum Machines would be neat to have the possibility to select a several certain Midi Channel for drums. Split Keyboard or set Midichannel for every Note. So therefore i can select my Drum Machines. So i can play a Kick on Midi Channel 1 a Snare from midi Channel 2 etc..

ideally for each drum note assign midi channel and midi note, and be able to have a different set up per project ( project 1, drum machine 1, project 2 drum machine 2, etc)

Yeah Note or CC would be great also. I have done that via Ableton Live but it is very slow and glitches here and there. Would be neat to solve that on the controller itself.

With 24 drum tracks, I'd love to assign the MIDI channel for each track as seems to be possible on the Beatstep Pro. I hope it is a delayed implementation and not a decision to ommit this from the Beatstep Pro! :)

With this I could use a drum machine with 8 sounds, other drum tracks could go to the computer, another one to my Nord Drum...

Thanks!

It's extremely limiting that this is missing.

I would like to use a combination of volca beats and volca sample together on track 1 as a drumsequencer. Volca sample uses midi channels 1 to 10 and I'd like to put the volca beats on channel 11 and then map keys 1 to 20 to the sounds of both machines.

It works fine with the beatstep pro, selecting note numbers and midi channel for every pad. I'd like this for keystep pro as well.

Heavily agree, would love to use the KSP's drum sequencer with my Korg Electribe Sampler, but each pad on the Electribe is on its own channel.

Yes, one MIDI channel per note or range of notes. As is, I can't trigger both my Digitakt and RD-8 because the Digitakt plays chromatically and cannot ignore the RD-8's assigned notes.

PLEASE!!! Really need this

Hey guys.
Can you report this feature request to the support so it can be duly referenced by our technicians?
Thank you :)

Yes +1 on this, I want to be able to use both a tr-09 and a tr-06 at the same time.  Unfortunately they have the exact same midi trigger notes.

Sure! Maybe just simply split by octave (or two) is simplest to program for Arturia. For me that would be ferry usable to control a view drum and sample players!!!

I like!!

+1.
I'm also using Volca Betas and Sampler 2 both sharing a channel but some notes unavoidably over lap.  I have some other drum sound sources that would be great to build kits from many sources.
