I will explain it by using two scenarios:
1. My Beatstep Pro is sending midi clock to FH-2 (Expert Sleepers eurorack interface). The FH-2 is sending out a clock pulse of 16th notes. The Beatstep pro is triggering a sound on 16th notes, and everytime I start the Beatstep Pro, the two streams of 16th notes are perfectly alligned. Great!
2. My Keystep Pro is sending midi clock to FH-2. Like above, the FH-2 is sending out a clock pulse of 16th notes. The KSP is triggering a sound on 16th notes, but when I start the KSP, the two streams of 16th notes have a random off-set between them. In other words: They are at the same tempo, but they are not playing the pulses at the same time. Everytime the KSP is started, the offset will most likely be different. (And sometimes they will even be in sync.)
I have not analysed the midi stream that comes from KSP when pressing play, but the amazing support from Expert Sleepers (thanks Os!) suggests that it could be a lack of a Start Clock command (perhaps Continue instead of start?). In any case, I am not a technician, but my message to Arturia can actually be done easily, since Arturia got this right when they made Beatstep Pro.
So please: Make Keystep Pro send out the same stuff when pressing the Start button, as Beatstep Pro does. Just do the same thing!
Thanks.
