Tony Banks Presets

Do you guys plan on putting a set of Tony Banks patches together? He used the Synclavier on the Genesis "Mama" album and on Invisible Touch and his solo works.  Specifically, the Mama voice and the lead sound on Second Home By The Sea.  I am not much of a programmer, I know you guys put the In The Air Tonight pad sound on the Prophet.  Also, how about the Gong patch from Beat It?  Or for that matter, why not a "Famous Patches" download for this and other products?

Hi Rodney,

We don't have access to every patch that has been made on a Synclavier back in the days unfortunately.
But we've included the Beat It intro patch, you can find it under the "Original" bank, it's called "Phased Gong".

The mama voice sound of the past was from the factory presets and calling Voices1 and its in the Factory library of the synclavier v please open your ears!

Little update to the patches above (V3). Minor tweaks, and also added the stacatto perc synth patch Tony plays on the verses for Home by the sea, so all Sync patches for that song are now accounted for

The 'Ghosts' sounds is 'Complex RTE FX' in the Original Bank. The 'Second Lead' is 'SYNTH LEAD 1' in Timbre Bank 4 (One of the downloadable banks in this forum).

I also discovered that 'Whistle 2' is in 'Silver Rainbow'. There also seems to be some Organ patch there too (IDK which one).

The "Synth Lead 1" sound from the Timbre 4 bank (used on Second Home By The Sea) seems to rely for its character upon a bit depth of 8 - however, this introduces hideous aliasing into the sound, particularly in the upper registers. Simply increasing the bit depth in Synclavier V doesn't work - the sound becomes completely dull. Any work around?

Hi all.

New to the forum.  Having difficulty with the shared files.  Was able to download to my computers (Windows AND Mac).  That was successful.  I was able to IMPORT the downloaded file to the sound bank, however while the VST recognizes that the download was imported, the folder is empty; there are no presets within.  The downloaded folder contains 22 MB of data, so I do not believe it was empty. This happens on both computer platforms. I have no idea what to try next, unless the .synx file that I downloaded was actually empty.    I downloaded from both of these sites:

Tony Banks' patches came from 2016.  Perhaps they are not compatible with newer Arturia software?  I'm not sure.  I vaguely remember that there might be a difference.

For me, it created a new folder in the main presets named "synclavier ii" presets are loaded in there. Hope that helped!

Does anyone know if presets exist for Invisible Touch (that, assuming that Banks used the Synclavier on that album...)?
