Pattern Resolution change during a drum roll
« on: May 10, 2013, 08:32:55 pm »
I'm programming a cliche techno style snare drum roll in Spark 1.6.1.  My original patterns are all at a resolution of 1/16, but to make a more dynamic drum roll I created a pattern at a resolution of 1/32.  When paying back the patterns, when the 1/16 pattern switches to the 1/32 pattern I'm 95% positive that I hear something wrong during the pattern switch.  The metronome itself sounds fine when it switches from the 1/16 pattern to the 1/32, however the first snare drum hit after the pattern change sounds like it hesitates a bit and/or starts pitched a tad higher than the other snare drum hits.  I don't think it's my imagination;  I guess it could be.  Can anyone else confirm this?
