Glad to aboard the 2600V

Hi all

Saw the post on KvR that the forum opened up, so I just joined. I got to do presets for the ARP2600V during the beta stage, but came rather late in the game for the presets to be on the initial release. However, as soon as Arturia is ready, they will be available as user presets on the site. I found out some cool applications using the sample hold, and reproduced what I would call "Totem sounds" ( see Klaus Shultzes piece Totem ) Using the delay and sampled timbres you can create some very wild rym patches.

I was also surprised to see an electronic switch on the 2600V. I have a "real" EML 200 modular, and that has an electronic switch, so I know what it's about. Some cool stuff to be sure.

I have found this synth much easier to use then then Mg modular. I guess its because of the pre-patched stuff, but its easy to patch things up as well.

Glad to be on-board.

TC

Me too tim (trying to carry on the 'buy every VST tim does patches for, but its runing my bank managers health:) )

Must admit I'm finding the 2600 very 'patchable' (i.e. easy to get good sounds with not too much effort).

I am finishing up a group of 'industruial' patches that I will offer up for those who wish to compose their own nightmares.
