Hi,
TLDR: Pads and keys triggering at the same time, need help separating the two.
How do you know this?
I don't use MAC/ Logic. I also don't have a Arturia controller. I can try to help.
You say you use 2 instances of Analog Lab.
You have set pads and keys on your controller to different midi channels - midi channel 1 and 2.
You only play either the pads or the keys - but not both.
You say you have chosen the correct Keylab User template - So i presume you are in USER mode.
(If needed you can allways use a midi monitor to check the controller actually output on different midi channels.)Then you show, you have set a midi channel parameter in Logic. The questions is, what this parameter actually is, and if something else need to be done.
From Logic Pro user guide:
"Edit track parameters for the selected track:
MIDI Input Port pop-up menu: Choose a MIDI port for the track input, all input ports,
or Internal & Remote, which routes input from the Musical Typing keyboard and from
Logic Remote.
• MIDI Input Channel pop-up menu: Choose the MIDI channel for the track input, or all
input channels.
• MIDI Output Channel pop-up menu: Choose the MIDI channel for the track output, or all
output channels."I wonder if you set the midi channel that's recieved from the controller in you video or you set the send to instrument midi channel?
If it's the recieve from controller channel, then i wonder how you set the midi channel send to the instrument - and the other way around?
Also - Have you done this:
https://www.logicprohelp.com/instruments-tracks-midi-channels/ ?
It look like a midi channel routing issue of some kind in Logic.
It look like your 2 Logic tracks recieve on ALL midi channels.
You don't show or tell, if you have changed midi channel settings for your 2 Analog Lab instances. If not, then they might are set to recieve on ALL midi channels. (
It depend on the preset, how this will work.)
FYI: You can get problems with Analog Lab, if the recieve channel and the send to instrument channel in Logic is the same, as ie organs is set to recieve on certain channels, and you need the full applications to change this.
Keep in mind that changing midi channels on your controller and in Logic does'nt change midi channels in Analog Lab or other applications for that matter.
