SysEx GM , GS , XG ON/OFF/RESET message and NRPN values
« on: September 11, 2020, 06:10:24 am »
I recently bought a Keylab MKII 61 and I love most of the features. The only thing that bugs me is the inability to send specific
sysEX message (GS reset i.e) directly from a mapped buttons on the keyboard. Also Midi Control Center is missing a field for entering the third byte for NRPN messages. Being mostly a vintage hardware user it is a problem for me because i can't fully control my older synth directly from the keylab. For example my old Roland JV-30 synth needs to receive a GS RESET message before it can accept data inc/dec messages for certain parameters like attack, decay, release, filter, reso. So it is pretty useless for live editing sound. From what i have read in the manual those features were available in the first generations of keylab.it's a shame that they did not make it to the MKII. This keyboard is one of the most premium on the market at the moment but for me it won't be as long as there is no firmware update to adress this. Please do something Arturia.
