[Solved]Pads Not Doing What I want

I want to run sequences/audio files that I used to run with a different MIDI controller(AKAI MPK MINI MK2). Each pad would run 3 different audio files. The reason I upgraded was because it was too small and I thought that I could accomplish the same tasks with this controller and its pads. I am trying to use the pads as a separate channel from the keys and the pads won't play the audio that I want it to. It won't even show that I'm pressing them as a key.  I want the pads to specifically play an audio file each time I press a pad, even if the audio is not done playing. I want to know how to do this so that I don't have to have my other MIDI controller hooked up to my computer while having this one hooked up as well. Please help, this is really big for me and the band that I play in. I've already separated the channels in MIDI CC (Keys Chan., Pads Chan. 10).

When I open this project two pads light up, but they don't do anything.

Hi.

It's pretty simple to do so.

If you are using a Drum Rack, you need your pads to send MIDI notes and not MIDI CCs.
In a Drum Rack, each sample slot is triggered by one MIDI note.

If you are using the default USER mappings, the KeyLab MkII pads are set to send notes from C1 to D#2 on MIDI channel 10.
To use such mappings, please make sure you have pressed the USER button and loaded one of the 10 user preset.
Plus, make sure that in the selected user preset, the pads are sending MIDI notes and not CCs.

Then, in your Drum Rack, make sure to drop your samples on the correct MIDI notes slots.


Finally:

- Set your Drum Rack track to listen to the channel 10 only.
To do that, set it to MIDI From: KeyLAb MkII - Channel 10

- Set your other track to listen to any other channel than the Channel 10.
(Preferably the one used by the keyboard of your KeyLb MkII)

This worked, I had everything mapped correctly and as soon as I pressed User mode on the KL61 I could see the pads activating sounds in the drum rack.
Just thought that i had to be in DAW mode but I guess it is user mode.

I am able to get the drum kit to play, but the piano is also playing when I hit the pads.

I'm using a custom User 1 mapping - the pads are sent to Channel 10, the keys are sent to Channel 1.

Ableton Live setup -
First Column:
MIDI From - All Ins
Channel 10
Monitor - Auto
Audio To - Master


Second Column:
MIDI From - All Ins
Channel 1
Monitor - Auto
MIDI To - No Output
