cannot get user bank
« on: September 12, 2020, 07:34:13 pm »
I use Arturia VSTs in Ableton Live.

On every Arturia instruments, I cannot find my user presets.

The user presets are in the User bank, but if open the library many, I only see "Factory" under "Banks".

How can I select the "User" or another bank ?

Thanks

Hi and welcome to Arturia forums.

How have you have saved your presets?

When you save a new preset in a Arturia application, then you get dialog window, where you can create a Bank name. That name can be "User". After that the banks and presets should be availble inside your Arturia applications. The banks should show up in the applications Bank areas where the Factory and other banks also is. That no matter which DAW you use.
Did you see the bank name was "User", when you saved your presets?

Have you tried to search for the name you gave a user preset in a Arturia application?

Yes, the presetis saved as JumpPF.

If I search "JumpPF", nothing comes up.

If I save the preset again as "JumpPF", it says I'll overwrite an existing preset.

Now I've saved the preset to bank "User2".  Still cannot find.  Banks "User" and "User2" does not show up.

Apparantly your saved preset is registred somewhere, since you get the warning you mention. But it's strange if a search does'nt locate it, if you have'nt have selected any attributes. But the Bank should be visible anyway.

Can you find the folders "User" and "User 2" in the path set for content in the preferences in Arturia Software Center? They should be in the Preset folder.

I can suggest you try to reinstall the applications. Try one application first.

I have just tried to do the same in OB-Xa, and it work here.

The "User" folder (with my presets)  is in "C:\ProgramData\Arturia\Presets\OB-Xa V", alongside the "Factory" folder.

I will try reinstalling.

Should I reinstall just Vst 2 ?

For the install, I just installed Vst 2.  Not the Vst 3, standalone, etc.

I don't remember you get an option to not install the standalone applications during the install process. But you can choose which plugins to install, as you can tick off those you don't wan't to install.

Did you get the option not to install the standalone versions, or did you just delete the path?
If you have'nt installed the standalone applications, then perhaps that have caused your issue, if i remember correct that you don't get the option not to install them. I can't tell for sure though.
