It's a bit odd that those CS-80 patches are set to 'ALL' for MIDI Channel, but only pick up on Channel 1.
If the CS-80 Multi section is on, then the presets only respond to the MIDI channel set set fro the used Zones in the Multi section.
A OMNI selection can be used for a zone so it will respond to all MIDI channels, but if specific MIDI channel numbers are set, then the preset only repond to that specific set MIDI channel from 1-16.
In your case the specific set MIDI channel must be 1, while the Multi is on. If it had been set to any other specific Midi channel, then Midi channel 1 would not work, but only the specific set Midi channel.
The ALL MIDI CH setting in the applications bottom panel allow all MIDI channels thru, and that's why you see the GUI keys moves.
But as for example ION Storm has the Multi section on, and the used zone set to Midi channel 1, then you have to use Midi channel 1, to hear sound too.
If the Midi Channel in the used zone in the in the Multi section was set to OMNI - like in the preset Sweep VCA, then you will hear sound using all Midi channels if the Midi Channel in the applications bottom panel also is set to ALL.
That should explain what you exsperience.
