Naming conventions for new versions very confusing.
« on: June 18, 2016, 08:54:29 am »
I've just purchased the new V collection and am finding the naming conventions for the new versions of the instruments very confusing and inconsistent. Wouldn't it make more sense to use the same naming convention for each new plug instead of the current mess? V1, V2, V... its all over the place. Please just use V alone for the new versions, and perhaps V4 for the old versions to prevent this confusion?

Thanks!

P.S. - The instruments sound amazing!

The number new collection is 5 the old 4. But the number used for the individual plugins signifies the major iteration of the plugins themselves. They have nothig to do with the collection.

So Synclavier has only a V, as all other new plugins. The older ones have either V2 or V3 depending how many times they have been refurbished.
